The Author
Marcus Azzopardi is a young author with a mind full of galaxies and stories that refuse to stay quiet. He published his debut novel, The Astromegas, and is currently putting the finishing touches on the highly anticipated sequel, The Quest of Re-creation.
Growing up surrounded by science fiction and fantasy, Marcus discovered early that the best adventures happen on the page. His writing blends high-stakes cosmic adventure with characters who feel real, flawed, and impossible not to root for.
When he is not writing, Marcus can be found reading, gaming, or dreaming up the next impossible world he is going to build. He believes that the universe is far bigger — and far stranger — than anyone has yet imagined.

Every story starts with a spark. This one started with a question about what really lies beyond what we can see. I finally wrote it all down.
Many people ask what inspired my first novel. The answer is quite simple—my love for science fiction, fantasy films, and anime. I have always enjoyed stories that explore new worlds, unique characters, and exciting adventures.
Writing started as a small hobby during my early school years. Whenever I had free time, I would imagine different stories and create worlds of my own. What began as a simple pastime slowly grew into something much bigger than I expected. I am still a student, still learning, and still growing as a writer. But those early ideas eventually became the foundation of my first novel, and the journey continues.

Three books that wrecked me in the best way, changed how I think about storytelling, and will probably end up influencing everything I write going forward.
Last year, three books left a lasting impression on me: Mistborn by Brandon Sanderson, The Taár by John A. Bonello, and The Invisible Man by H.G. Wells.
Book One — Mistborn amazed me with its unique magic system and unforgettable characters.
Book Two — The Taár was a fascinating adventure that highlighted local storytelling and imagination.
Book Three — The Invisible Man showed how a classic novel can still feel relevant and thought-provoking today
What I loved most was how each book transported me to a completely different world.Together, these books reminded me why I enjoy science fiction and fantasy—they inspire curiosity, wonder, and new ways of seeing the world.
